You Get Me

Let’s keep this short and sweet…

What’s the real goal of your marketing messages? We’ve heard a lot of answers to that question, but one always rises to the top:

You want your prospect or customer to say, “They get me.”

Before you rattle off product features or dive into benefits, you need to create a moment where your audience feels seen, heard, and understood. Skip that, and you’ve missed the mark.

So how do you create that moment?

Start by getting to know your customers. Ask real questions. What’s keeping them up at night? What’s stressing them out? What goals are they chasing? What’s getting in their way?

Make the conversation about them first.

Then, use what you’ve learned. Speak to their pain, their aspirations, and their world. That’s when the magic happens… when they say, “You get me.”

Only after that moment should you share how your product or service can help. That’s the formula. Simple. Effective. And it works.
