A Message to My Inner Critic

Enough.

This is a message to my inner critic.

It’s where the negative self-talk ends, and I stop beating myself up.
This is where I quit questioning whether I belong or if I have anything valuable to offer.
This is where I stop looking in the mirror and wondering if I’m in the wrong room, in the wrong role, or on the wrong path.
This is where I stop telling myself that I’m going to be found out, exposed for not knowing what I don’t know.

This is where I take back my power.
This is where I tell that voice it doesn’t get to speak over me anymore.
This is where I draw the line, plant my flag, and shut the door on the lies.

But here’s the thing about the inner critic…

It’s stubborn.
It doesn’t leave quietly.
It doesn’t pack up and move out without a fight.

Evicting it isn’t a one-time thing. It’s a daily battle.
Even when we tell it to stop, it finds ways to whisper.
Even when we try to mute it, it finds ways to creep back in.

Remember, though, the critic is not a truth-teller…

The critic says, “You’re not ready.”
The truth is, we’re already doing the work.

The critic says, “You don’t belong here.”
The truth is, we were called to this moment for a reason.

The critic says, “You’re not a real leader.”
The truth is, leadership isn’t a title. It’s how you show up.

The critic says, “You don’t have what it takes to run a business.”
The truth is, you’ve already built more than most people ever will.

The critic says, “You’re making it up as you go.”
The truth is, that’s exactly how innovation happens.

The critic says, “You should play it safe.”
The truth is, nothing worth building ever came from staying comfortable.

The critic says, “Someone else could do it better.”
The truth is, no one else can do it your way.

Today, we say it again to our inner critic… Enough.

You don’t get the mic anymore.

This is where we fight back.
We live with confidence and stand in our truth.
We become living proof of everything the inner critic says we’re not.
We are stronger than the critic gives us credit for.
We are more capable than our critic thinks.
And yes, we do belong.
